Twenty years in the making, this is what I’ve finally decided to call A Deviant Coming of Age Novel.

The story takes place in Southern California from the summer of 1993 to the spring of 1996. It follows the main character, Shirley from the time she moves into her college dorm until her 21st birthday.

Most places are made-up, and the real places are used fictitiously.

The “Chapters” section is the actual novel. This is told from the point of view of the main character, Shirley.

The “Canon” section features letters, emails, and journal entries from all of the characters. All of this stuff is relevant to the overall story, but didn’t really fit into the novel.

I’m publishing the chapters as I finish them. The “Canon” section will be filled in as the chapters progress.

I’m also providing this story for free. All I ask is that you link back to the content and not steal it.
